We perform Joint Mobilizations to improve lubrication in stiff joints. Joint mobilizations, or “mobs”, improve how a joint glides and increases movements in ranges of the joint that are restricted. “Mobs” can also be used to break down scar tissue, to unlock a fragment of cartilage that is blocking joint range-of-motion, and to relax tight and painful muscles.
We use Manipulative Therapy when the injury is less responsive to traditional joint mobilizations. Manipulations involve the use of a joint-specific, high-velocity thrust to restore joint range-of-motion, break down scar tissue, relax muscles and reduce pain. Manipulation can also be used to correct spinal mal-alignments and to restore symmetry. Before performing these treatments, we perform several safety tests to ensure that it is indeed safe and necessary to perform.
Our physiotherapists who perform manipulations have been certified following several years of post-graduate education in this area of expertise.
Our techniques loosen tight muscles and tissues in your body to restore symmetry and balance tensions in your body.
We also apply other forms of manual therapy such as Soft Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point release, Muscle Energy Techniques and Active Release Techniques.
These terms are used for different types of soft tissue techniques to help loosen tight muscles and tight tissues in the body, and to recruit (or activate) muscles to correct spinal mal-alignments and restore symmetry. By balancing the soft-tissue tensions in the body, less pain is provoked with everyday movement and function.
Examples of conditions that respond well to these techniques are tendonitis pain, tendonopathies (such as tennis elbow or lateral epicondylitis), repetitive strain injuries, sports – related injuries such as patello-femoral pain syndrome (PFPS), IT Band syndrome, and spinal posture or mechanical neck and back pain and other related problems.

Go! Physio did what I thought was impossible: they transformed my enlarged, stiff, and damaged leg to a fully functioning, reduced fluid, limb. I have now re-gained muscle strength and a full range of motion. I wear proper shoes, can walk with ease, and have renewed optimism and confidence. Go! Physio’s encouragement, experience, and knowledge are completely responsible for my turn around. They won’t quit on you and won’t let you quit on yourself.
